Andrew Wiggin (Prefers to be called Ender as he was nick named by his sister) is a boy genius and the worlds last hope to stem off a second invasion from bug like aliens (buggers). Ender is conscripted to a military training center where he makes friends and enemies, learns and leads. Think of Ender as Harry Potter in a science fiction setting.

Adult and Young adult. SciFi and fantasy fans will adore this book.

This is one of my favorite books. I really liked the complexity of Ender's character. Ender's relationship with his Sister. The conflict and coherence between Ender's sister Valentine and her brother Peter. Wonderful character development. The game(s) metaphors.

The dialog is sometimes forced (not too often).

Read the next in the series: Speaker for the Dead

I really "felt" and understood the characters; their motives and their emotions.

Orson Scott Card is a talented writer. I've read most of his works, including those outside the Ender's series. Highly recommended.

Ender's Game moves at a good pace, great character development, descriptions and a nice (somewhat) unexpected twist at the end.

Ender's Game is a great book, but the rest of the series never quite lives up to this first book. Ender's Shadow is a close second. Speaker for the Dead is of a different nature.

A great read. Actually I read this story once in high school and recently listened to this story twice on audio book CDs. It's worth your time and money.
