Summary of this Book...
Atlantis, is about a marine archeologist, Jack Howard and his quest to unlock the secret location of Atlantis. During an underwater exploration of an old wreck he comes across a special disk with strange writing on it. Eventually, a series of events cause Jack and his cohorts to realize that they are all in possession of different pieces of the puzzle to locate Atlantis.
This type of Book is good for...
People who enjoy action and adventure stories.
I especially liked...
The mystery surrounding Atlantis and how the team comes to unravel it's location. Suspense.
I didn't like...
Too much detail about past archeogical and historical details. There were times where I got so lost trying to put all the pieces together that I had to go back and re-read a section again and again. There were some places where I just gave up and read on so that I could follow the events as they took place. Information overload.

I was also distracted by jumps in the flow of the book. It was not uncommon to have one chapter end in one location and then begin in a completely separate location. No explanation, no rational.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Pass it on to someone else to see if they thought the same things I did. Honestly, I have no desire to go back and read the book as I'm not sure I could survive reading the historical information all over again.
This Book made me feel...
Interested at first; then frustrated as I tried to follow some of the events; then finally disappointed. I was expecting so much more from a book that promised to be a "gripping read."
I recommend this Book because...
If you are interested in the legend of Atlantis, this book provides you with a rather interesting alternative to where Atlantis is and what events led up to its disappearance.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Unless you have a very sound history of events, places and names of historical significance in Greece, Turkey, and Egypt, the large amount of time spent explaining this could easily turn you off.
Further Comments...
I'd love to be able to give a complete thumbs-up to this book, but am unable to do so. I felt that all the time devoted to providing indepth historical details could have been done so with less detail. If less time had been spent on this, I think the theory behind Atlantis could have been expanded upon. I would have liked to have seen more information on the digs and underwater excavations.
