The authors take a comprehensive look at what the German occupation of France did the French wine industry. It didn't help that the early 1940's were poor years for weather which also hurt the crops.

the style the book was written in. There are several short vignettes of French families and how they were effected by the German occupation. It's easy to read, almost conversational which made the book a pleasure to read.

I enjoyed the book. There was nothing I didn't care for.

The authors are Don & Petie Kladstrup. They have a wonderful storytelling style that will suck the reader in.
