Summary of this Book...
Lost in the vast emotions of teenage years, Bella Swan makes a change. Moving to live with her father in Forks, Washington. Here Bella comes across a fascination family shrouded by rumor and mystery, the Cullens. While a highly respected family there is something about them that tends to keep them isolated in the community. Within the weave of this tight family she falls in love with the first son, Edward. Brooding, and analytical they begin their dance as so many star crossed lovers do. Their major challenge, she is human and he is a vampire.
This type of Book is good for...
It is mainly for teens, tweens, and day dreaming older women.
I especially liked...
The location! The area is very breath taking and the author did capture it wish great detail.
I didn't like...
This is not a love story. This is a story of obsession. The way that Edward and Bella interact reminds me of a codependent and angst filled relationship that most of us leave after high school.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I honestly wanted to write a letter to the author and ask why she felt that this form of love story is healthy for upcoming women. In a time when we need our children to form healthy and nurturing relationships ow we have a media craze over emotionaly abusive and obsessioned based reality. I found that while I was drawn in the writting style was not creativee, compelling in some areas. Just enough to keep you reading.
This Book made me feel...
It was like watching an accident, horrific but you still will not look away!
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you are a grounded and well rounded person, do not waste your time. If you are young and impressionable, do not waste your time. Even avid Vampire fans could not subject themselves to this.
