his honesty about when things didn't go so well. He seems to be a pretty straight shooter.

his matter of fact way of explaining the whole Katrina situation and the economic collapse. I felt that neither one of these things touched him in any personal way. There is a detachment that I found most disconcerting.

trade it in. I got it at a used book place in trade and it is not one that I will read or consult again.

like I respect Mr. Bush and his reasoning, but I find his emotional detachment (particularly with Katrina and on 9/11) a little bit off-putting.

knows how to make an effective and sometimes convincing point. Even when I do not agree with him, I respect him.

it is a historical perspective that will help the reader to find out what happened from 2000-2008 from the decision maker's point of view. It isn't great, but it is pretty good for a politician.
