This is the 2nd in the series about Detective Michael Bennett who in addition to being a homicide detective in New York City is raising ten adopted children with the help of his Priest Grandfather and a lovely Irish au pair named, Mary Catherine.

In this novel, a serial killer targets those who misbehave in New York City. It is a wild ride with a lot of twists and turns.

This book really helped me to get to know Michael Bennett and the other recurring characters. Only 3 of this series have been written and I made the mistake of reading the 3rd one (Worst Case) first, but these are characters I really enjoy so now I am up to speed.

the twist that the story takes toward the end.

the stuff with the plane at the end. I could not see that as believable that the hero would survive all of that.

read the next in the Michael Bennett series. I liked the first one (Step on a Crack) the best, but now that I have read all 3, I am ready for more. Love the characters.

It is really two authors and they sure know what they are doing with getting the characters established by how they react to things and troubles.

it is a very entertaining read, although it is the least favorite in the series.
