This is a book in the Inspector Lynley/Detective Sargent Havers series. This one is about the abduction of a child of a Cabinet Minister. The kidnapper demands that the father of the child acknowledge her paternity publicly, something he and the mother have never done.

There are lots of twists and turns I will not give away.

anyone who enjoys a good mystery.
I especially liked...
as always, the character of Barbara Havers is my favorite and she figures prominently in this one.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more in the series. The one before this wasn't too good and I quit for the while. This is the best of the series that I have read so far.
The author of this Book...
is an American who writes mysteries set in England. This is the best one I've read and I am reading them in order, having started with the most recent, I went back and went from the beginning.
