Summary: Upon returning from a solo camping trip, Isherwood "Ish" Williams discovers that a plague has wiped out most of the human race.

This type of book is good for anyone interested in literary classics or post-apocalyptic science fiction.

I especially liked how this book made me think--how it's implications lingered long after I closed the cover.

When I finished reading this book I wanted to buy copies for all my friends and family, and I DID buy several copies to hand out as gifts. I wanted to share it with everyone I know who loves to read.

Ultimately this book made me feel sad. With no one around to teach future generations about Michelangelo, van Gogh, Christ, Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Ernest Hemingway, Florence Nightingale, Louis Armstrong, Frank Lloyd Wright, Babe Ruth, Lewis & Clark, Elvis Presley, Frederick Law Olmsted, Susan B. Anthony, Jackie Robinson, Jonas Salk, the Wright brothers, Walt Whitman, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Martin Luther King Jr. ... history and culture is forever lost.

I recommend this book because it is unlike anything you have ever read. Many have tried to immitate, but they all fall short.
