Summary of this DVD...
"The Book of Daniel"

I love this movie. The thing I like the most is that it is scripturally correct.

This is a fictionalized rendering of the main points in the story of Daniel. All of the central points in his life can be found in the Bible.

There is a interesting part of included in this movie which cannot be found in the Bible but adds to the story. That is Cyrus's back story.

Although this story is not in the Bible, it is a tale that has been told of Cyrus for many years.

In the movie "The Book of Daniel, Daniel appears initially as an old man. He meets Cyrus and tells him the stories of four kings. At one point, Cyrus stops Daniel and tells him his backstory and the strategy he'd used to conquer Babylon.

The story is narrated in a soothing but dry voice (Daniel's). As he tells the stories of these four kings, the movie switches from the three men seated at Cyrus' table and gives us a glimpse into the separate sections of Daniel's significant life events: the lion's den, the fiery furnace, the hand-writing on the wall, the king who becomes as a beast of the field and eats grass.

Now some of these aren't exactly about Daniel but he is a part of the times in which they occurred.

The movie is presented in a way that it is both soothing and inspiring. I was consistently prompted to look at my own life and my own relationship to God and to the Bible.

It helped me to think about all Good has done in our lives from the start of time till now.

It is worth watching more than once. It will be one movie I will watch again and again and share with others.

I want to see more movies like this!

Comment I wrote in November 2014:

Today is very close to the end of an event called Nano Wrimo. Nano Wrimo is a world-wide event in which folks like me attempt to write 50000 words. Most try to write novels. I on the other hand write as a Nano Rebel. This year I am writing reviews. I have written reviews of items written by other WDC members and now I am writing product reviews in a last ditch attempt to reach t the 50000 words by the end of the event.
