Summary of this DVD...
This is Season 4 of Game of Thrones. Please be advised that I am going to give things away in this Product Review, so stop reading now if you do not want to know what happens.

Some highlights of the 4th Season are that Joffrey finally gets his and so does Tywrin (Tyrion's Daddy).

Most of the season is spent reacting to Joffrey's death and accusing Tyrion of his murder. Little Finger spirits Sensa away after the death and Arya continues her odyssey with the Dog.

Jon Snow and Brandon Stark come close to each other only to go their own ways. There is a fight scene or I should say whole episode at the Wall of the Black Watch that takes up a whole hour. I didn't enjoy it, but mr. hooves likes that kind of action and gore.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who enjoys a good story told on an epic scale. I love the scenery and the panoramic majesty of the whole thing and the intrigue of the relationships.
I especially liked...
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion. He's brilliant, as always. The show isn't as good when he's not in an episode.
I didn't like...
the gore, but I mostly watched it.
I recommend this DVD because...
we were here snowed/iced in and in frigid temps so we watched the whole thing in a couple of days. It was good enough to just binge watch and we had been waiting for it for almost a year.

Now, we are lending it to a friend, but then we will watch all the episodes from Season 1 to refresh us. I have trouble distinguishing between the older guys like Stanis Baratheon and one other guy. I mix them up and get confused and I need to watch it again to rectify that.
Further Comments...
I am a little bummed about having to wait another year to see what happens to the two Stark girls and, of course, Tyrion.

I wanted to see Joffrey suffer a little more than he did. Poisoning seemed fitting, but I would have liked a longer bit of him knowing what was happening. He's such a little bastard, or was.
