Happy Nanowrimo!
I graduated this past Sunday! You know what that means??? More time to write! After I catch up on sleep, of course...
I recently received some good advice from a friend as far as ideas for my book! I'm off to continue my masterpiece. New chapters coming soon!
I haven't been on here in so long and it's mostly due to school. But I'm on break again so it's time to focus. I have had a little time to work on my story though. Chapter 4 is halfway done! When it's finished I'll post it and hopefully get some reviews.
No school for two weeks! That means I have time to actually think about my story! And possibly write a couple chapters...
Still working out a scene that has me stuck. How do you think a girl would feel meeting her mom for the first time after eleven years of abandonment?
I'm working on a new project that popped into my head. I've been into romance novels a lot lately and since I haven't attempted one since my early teens, I thought I'd give it a try. So far, so good. I think I may enjoy this. Plus Much More Than Ordinary is giving me a headache right now. :)
I read this writing.com newsletter last week that was all about Getting to Know your Character. It had great information about what you need to know before you start writing you story. It even had this great questionnaire full of questions you can answer ranging from your characters eye color, their favorite hobby and love interest. It was a great newsletter and so far I'm filling out the questions and getting to know my character more. If anyone would like me to forward it, let me know!
Sure! I'd love to read it :)
Spring term at school is almost over! That means I'll have one week to work on writing before summer term begins. And even then I don't have English class anymore which means no more boring essays to write! I can finally focus on my passion again. Look out for more chapters coming soon!
I think I'll start writing short stories again. I used to write them all the time. It's easier for me to get them out of my head than a novel since it's so much shorter. I'm going to look up writing prompts tonight to get started. Hopefully this will get me out of my funk and back on track with Much More Than Ordinary.
I really need to learn to write when I'm feeling down. It could be a stress reliever. Normally, I only write when I'm in a great mood and I haven't had too many 'great mood' moments lately.
Homework and work! I have no down time. Currently, I'm reading (trying to find inspiration) and attempting to calm my busy mind so that I can focus on my novel. I want to be a published author soooo bad.
Okay, yeah... so Chapter 4 is still not done. :/ A scene I'm trying to get down is proving to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. I want it to be unique and natural instead of a cliche. So I keep rewriting it and it's driving me crazy. I need this done so I can move on. I feel like once I get to revealing the mystery in my story, it'll be easy sailing.
No class and no work today! That means I have a lot of time to write write write! I WILL get chapter 4 done today.
So many ideas and no idea how I'm going to get them all out. It's worth it to keep trying though.
