Greetings, Miss Vos. Let me welcome you to Writing.com. If you love to write or simply put your thoughts and dreams on paper, this is the best site on the Web for that. I've been around here a little over two years and have learned a few things about how things work. Please allow me to give you a few suggestions.

I would probably assume that a young person as yourself is tech smart, so the things I will suggest shouldn't be a problem for you.

1. As far as your Portfolio is concerned, remember that it is one of the first things that people will see. If you want to draw them in, make it as visually attractive as possible. Your main cover or picture should be either one of yourself or something you relate to.
2. You will want to upload a picture for each of your writings. This picture should be a visual representation of what you have written.

Getting peoples attention is first and foremost in importance. Entice people to read what you have written. Remember, most people are visually stimulated before anything else. Your Portfolio is your special place. Make it a place that others will want to visit.

I hope that these few pieces of encouragement didn't sound too lame. I look forward to seeing what your room here looks like when you've decorated
