Have you claimed your Achievement Merit Badges?
I've added a new item to my portfolio:
Meridith at 20 Years Old  (18+)
Meridith metes out justice after the fact.

Finally, a new Meridith the Dwelf short story that tries to imply the original crime after the fact in the present time frame of meting out justice against the villains.
Edited
have completely revamped my portfolio. I now has the Excerpts of The Known Lands with restriciton as to Registered Authors and above, and Basic Membership and above. Constructive criticism is appreciated as long as you do not expect royalties.

Meridith The Dwelf is a book where I will place all entries I create for future WDC challenges and contests (this is open to all to read and review).

The final four books contain Volumes 1-4 of Tales of the Known Lands. These four volumes are read and review by members of the Coffee Shop for the Fantasy Society only.

Thanks for reading this note.
I have been conversing with Cinnamon Fringe as to first publishing rights concerning posting my short fantasy stories on WDC.
She says that If I change my Access Restrictions to "Registered Users and Higher" that I will still be able to sell my first rights to publishers.
Is there anyone with first hand knowledge of this question, or a point of contact I may interview?

That is an interesting question. I look forward to hearing the answer.
First Note:

My name is Randy Ames and I have written over twenty short stories totaling 90,000 words. Most are final first draft, and awaiting editing. Four of the shortest ones have been edited by Tamela Viglione through Sarah Cypher of Three Penny Editing. So far Tamela has not done me wrong and has her own credentials. She attended the 1998 Clarion Writers Workshop, and has written an award winning Young Adult novel called Buck. I have not found a copy to read yet.

As to my stoires I am progressing backwards to what is orthodox. I wrote the twenty short fantasy stories first. Then created the Known Lands for them to take place in: topography, races, heirarchy, vegetation, and creatures.

And then the Five Realms of Mortal, Faerie, Demon, Godly, and Spirit.

Once I upgrade my membership I will begin to post my stories for reviews.

Just out of curiosity, why are you waiting to upgrade your membership before posting? You could post up to 10 without an upgraded account, which would get you feedback right away. New people on WDC do tend to get a fair amount of reviews just as a welcome, so I would recommend adding some work sooner rather than later.

Remember that, if you want to publish the stories, make sure to make them available for Registered members only... otherwise, they will be visible in google searches. *Smile*

Oh! And welcome to WDC! You'll fit right in here... lots of fantasy lovers. If you want to talk with some other fantasy writers, I'd recommend "The Coffee Shop for the Fantasy Society.
