Absolutely amazing picture that you have drawn of the girl! her nature and the love for her are so vividly described that it creates a picture in the reader's eye. the rhyming works for the poem, and the simplistic way of pouring out the heart touches a chord deep within. The yearning and pain are very well depicted too. Well done.
It seems to be one of the most interesting pieces that I have come across from NaNoWriMo partcipants. It promises to be intricate and pshycological novel of a young abused guy running from his past. I haven't yet understood, if it is going to be a simple story or a crime thriller, either ways the start is really good. I will be looking forward to the whole of it by the end of this month.... Absolutely great piece. The pent up anger in the peaceful protesters has been brought up very well. One single action of violence sometimes triggers off the the rage withing the people that was restrained by a good leadership. It's a sweet romantic teenage story, well represented. The dialogues are crisp and interesting, a very good depiction of a conversation between two teenagers. The love triangle in formation, between two best friends and the guy has a refreshing sweetness about it. And I loved the last sentence the best where kelly is musing on the thought if she should tell stacy about the crush oliver has on her. Well done, keep writing and keep sharing!
After dracula, twilight and vampire diaries, I think it is an already exhausted subject, and there seems nothing new can be added to the vampire character. A wonderfully warm story of a love between two persons who are different in every possible way, yet there is a strange relationship of trust and care that builds up between the two. It points out that love can take us by surprise at any point and in any situation. The character of the trusting and proud husband adds a charm to the story, as does the children of Abena. A really touching poem about the reunion of a daughter and her mother. A child often suffers while the elders part for their own differences and that child often grows up nurturing an ill-will about their parents. This poem teaches everyone of us that things should be explained and differences can be sorted out through communication. A very wonderful and poignant creation.
It is very well written and you have communicated the feeling of love in a very strong way. But one thing-"you came , you conquered , you won" in this I think won and conquered are the same thing and I think its a repetition. And you can probably brush up the punctuation a bit. But anyways its a very good read. Keep writing.
With a bit more editing it could have been a good story. the theme is different so is the presentation , but somewhere I lost track of the story until I got to the end. The way you use mataphors and similies are quite good. The description of Misty looked at through kyle's eyes are really beautiful and touching. The part where you distinguish a child calling its parents as opposed to other names is a great concept. The twist in the tale and the slow unfolding of plot is very well done. A very different style of writing that catches the attention of the readers instantly. I think you described your friend very well and in a very poignant manner. The flow is good although it breaks at some points. "that won’t awake" I think wake would be better instead of awake. But overall a very good poem. Do write more.
You described very well the experience of falling in love for the first time.
