Review of The Picture
Rated: E | (4.5)
First Impression: By the time I got to the second line, I forgot that I was reading a poem at all. It was more like watching a short film that contained dynamic and powerful imagery. I couldn't take my eyes from the screen. The last line is a great example of my experience. "Some pictures don't need paper."

Curiosity: With an ability such as yours in using such vibrant imagery, I wonder what this poem or other poems would look like if you were to break away from form. What would happen if you let go of the the formal constructs while simply painting the most beautiful poem, film if you will, images that need no paper? I'm not suggesting to never write formal poetry. I'm simply curious to know what might happen outside of form as it pertains to your writing.

Final Thought:: You have a magical way of putting the reader into the setting, allowing them to experience, not only read about, the beauty. I was lost in a wonderful moment of sitting on the greenest grass I'd ever seen. I could hear the birds in my mind and see them quarreling over food. The image was as solid and real to me, as a Polaroid in my hand.
