For someone who is not a fiction writer, I thought it was excellent! I found your story very creative. The fact you could take just a few words and weave the story you did without it being mechanical or stiff is pretty amazing. There is a flow to your story that seems is not forced but spontanious. As though you really know these people. You easily gain our attention and empathy for your charcters. Moving and compassionate story. Your last two lines puts everything into perspective and finishes your story nicely! springtime

This story is so poignant. The charcters are very likeable and "real," and the story flows very naturaly. This story is inspiring. It remids me of long-ago times when life was simpler and more innocent. Loved the way the story ended with Christine away. How beautiful! It reminds me of the famed story "The gift of the Magi." Very well written. I liked it a lot and wouldn't hesitate to read your other works. What didn't I like? Absoultely nothing! Perfect story;action-plot-depth-it's all there. Springtime
