Review of Dragons
Review by Philip Roberts
Rated: E | (5.0)
Excellent poem. I have written dragon poems too, but none of them are up on this site at the moment. I really just wanted to say excellent effort, keep writing, and don't let anyone ever tell you to stop writing (as editors used to tell me). All the best, Phil

It seems that Fabledo.com either isn't open for submissions yet, or is full already. Attempts to access their site merely says: "Hi, we will launch Fabledo soon. Stay tuned!"

Review of Were Once

V ery good and poignant poem. Yes, it is so important to be able to move on. To a large extent depression and even suicide occur when people cannot move on and keep living in the past. But since time only travels in one direction, it is important to keep moving with it. Very well done -- keep writing!

Review of Hope
Review by Philip Roberts
Rated: E | (4.0)
Short and yet effective. As someone who has suffered from chronic depression for much of my life, I can agree that hope is so important in everyone's life, without we struggle to go on. A very effective and poignant poem. Never take criticism too seriously, and never stop writing!

I tend to agree it could use more action, nonetheless it is very well written and very interesting. The characters leap off the page as real people, not just names on paper. But in chapter two DO bring in more action. Nonetheless a very interesting read. Never stop writing!

An excellent and moving song garanteed to make people realise the importance of going on even when the whole world seems to be on top of you. Hopefully this song reassured you front and help him not to give up. A very moving and well written efoort -- never stop writing!

An interesting science-fiction-cum-espionage-cum-much more than thay story. It is a story that you easily get caught up with and never want to stop reading. It has a natural, easy flowing style, showing you are a promising right. Just be a little more careful with spelling especially tense, there are a handful of tense errors in it. But not enough to distanct from the overall fascinating nature of the work. Very well done, never stop writing!

A fascinating story (actually it reminds me a little of a story I wrote 20 years ago called Send Her Forward, however, the similarities are probably only minor. Mine is a science-fantasy story with a young modern witch as the heroine. I certainly enjoyed reading this piece, you are a talented writer, with a very natural style. Never stop writing!

Very interesting. Actually some years ago I wrote three short stories based on the adventures of a cat I once had named Timothy, maybe I should put them up on this site? Actually my Lucy is the same with the bathroom, since I live alone I no longer latch the door when bathing so she won't batter her little body against it. And she is no lady, since she is not above clawing at me under the toilet door -- there is a one inch gap. Anyway keep up the good work, your writing has a natural flow and easy reading style to it. Never stop writing!

Review of The Caller

Interesting. I'm not that familiar with short-short pieces of this length, but I will say it is well written and you need not worry about your punctuation, grammar, or syntax, since they are all very very good, much better than some of the writers whose work I have read. So keep at it, and never let anyone tell you not to write!

Review of The Greatest Gift
Review by Philip Roberts
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
An excellent and moving story. For years I drifted through my life meaningless as a Christian who never attended church, but when I started to regularly attend a modern caring church I had the same form of emotional experiences and now (barring extreme illness) could not imagine missing a week with Pastor Michael and the congregation. Many thanks for this excellent and uplifting work. Never stop writing, the world needs you!

A haunting and moving spiritual poem. As a non-denominational Christian, I found this an excellent and uplifting work and a superb effort as your first poem in three years. Whatever stopped you from writing for so long, keep writing now, the world needs poets of your calibre! All the best to you!

An excellent story. Usually I do not like stories so short, but this one is excellent. Certainly, like all good stories it kept me reading so that I never considered stopping until I had reached the delightful ending. I would classify this as an excellent mainstream/romance, with just a delightful hint of the anticlimax story with the excellent and unexpected ending. Based on this effort you are certainly a talented writer -- never stop writing!

The short sharp nature of the statements make them both easy to read and interesting to read. The sharp, almost biting nature of each statement makes you want to read on till you reach the completion of the piece. A highly original and entertaining piece of writing. Well done, never stop writing!
