Thank you for the poem. The message is something I have thought about for years growing up in the USA. It is sad to say, but the American people are becoming a bunch of privileged idiots. We say we want our children to be smarter, then cut all the programs necessary and give teachers sub-par salaries. I believe we are on a path of our own making to self destruction; where money and beauty are valued more than intelligence and integrity.
Wow, this was a great poem. It definitely shows me I have a ways to go to be so eloquent. It actually gave me some chills imagining each location and the battles fought. Keep writing beautifully!!
