Review of To my friend ...
Review by GRIMM
Rated: ASR | (5.0)
To be quite honest as Naani are under 25 syllables, most tend to be difficult to understand. It is not as easy as it looks, and most start well but end up haphazardly. In that way it is difficult to convey the message correctly. Here though I can see a deep friendship. One that may even have an underlying passion brewing. The use of the word "soul mates" has a meaning of "meant to be", "fate", or "destiny". The use of "fire" here can convey a deep emotion burning, usually associated with anger or love. Obviously I see it as an underlying "love" between two friends. The opening for me states that this feeling may be one sided, as in the use of the word "my". But there is definitely some reciprocation with the ending as it is "twin flames dancing in each other's light".

In my own personal twist, when fire is used in poetry I always tend to see an aftermath as well. Even if it is unintended by the poet. As in all fire, the brighter it burns the faster it dies. So when I read something like this I will always start to feel about possible consequences. Will these two remain soul mates? Will their flames begin to feed off each other? Or will they simply dim? It is all quite interesting to me.

I did enjoy this as you can see a deeper meaning in the words. Not many Naani can do that correctly.

Good show.
