A poem I wrote when I realized I was truly alone in this world.
A Human Phoenix

Alive as a shadow,
Always forgotten,
Transparent against most.
Lost in a world of demons and angels,
Lost in a world of my own.

My pride rebuilt
After every encounter,
Sometimes clawing at those who oppose me.
A quiet strength, underestimated,
Never given a chance.

Etched in silent repose,
Searching for trustworthy companions.
Reaching beyond my power to aid
Only to find I've hardly tried.

My fiery spirit remains,
Bright, glistening feathers ready for flight,
Glowing eyes and unsealed beak.
Still I am unchallenged, untamed.
