Poetry by Crazyhops A satire on 'selling out' to corporate greed!
THE SELLOUT by CRAZYHOPS

Jesus was not a sellout
Even though he looked like a rock n roll star
He walked around barefoot
And didn,t even have a guitar

A beard and long hair
True to his B.C. heavy metal roots
Not a shirt anywhere
Or lizard skin cowboy boots

Emperors would come from near and far
With offers of rice they'd make him a star
A long weary road traveled by '3 so-called Wise Men'
Found Jesus in a cave writing 'Eruption'

Wardrobes from Michael Jackson’s hyperbaric chamber
Jesus punched the camera man in anger
Ipods and Tivo to appease their new friend
As they settled in
For a Last Supper sponsored by Heineken

Even the great Bono and Apple
sure get along swell
Pat Green and Miller Lite
have a great story to tell
LIMBO LIMBO LIMBO
thats where you will go
you were just a singin beer ho

After your careers are through
and its difficult to make do
We will watch you fade away
and fondly remember you for your ode to Ben Gay

If he'd been nailed to a swoosh
What a world this would be
Bill Gates would not exist
And Nike cars would be free
