I came up with this in chapel, it's about walking with God. A slighlty abstract piece.
The path I walk is green and good today.
I see the grass shimmer in the sunbeams,
I feel the soil between my toes,
My path stretched beyond the horizon,
The end is hidden from me by the sunrise.

I have been given a straight path,
With bright sunlight and dancing shadows.
No delays are permitted on my glorious way,
All others must continue as I must.
I am led ever onward by the hand.

Run, dance, skip, stumble, come sway with me.
Cradled in loving arms each night.
I fly, reckless on this happy road.
Both my hands are held thus I run with abandon.
'Take care lest the way go dim' whispers the wind.

Fast as fear can the darkness come.
But I am ever guided by the hand.
Run, skip, stumble, faster as the night comes,
The terror and doubt will pass away.
Green grass and light are always on the horizon.
