somewhere waiting
And you can’t help but wondering…
Is anybody listening?
Daydreaming so wistfully…
Of a love so far away.

I’ll let you know with such urgency,
You’ll look straight right back at me.
But there’s nothing else to say.

You’ll insist I’m fine - but it’s been long since.
I’ve been searching everywhere for my Prince.
My junk mails full but
Only fools refresh their mail 5 times a minute.

All those hearts make me want to stay.
But still let me out of my misery.
Counting the days ‘til I can whisper: “Set me free.”
Biting my tongue at every “but”.

Convincing you still seems impossible,
But I so plainly state:
The love potion was arsenic-laced.
Five times a minute you’ll scream for a ambulance.
Can’t say one’s on it’s way….

Although the smiles all seem fake,
I could never give up everything -- ‘cause you’re everything to me.
Count the days ‘til you awake.
Holding onto all with a handful of nothing.
(As corny as it seems)

No sounds of sirens and you can’t breath.
Until the flawless break.

Love, yet still so far away,
No longer yearned for so wistfully…
And no body at all is listening,
So there is no longer a need to wonder.
