What a cliche. Girlfriend dumped me, so I write a poem? Oh well, tell me what you think.
Having her around
You feel like you've found
The greatest thing on Earth
And all that you're worth.
But then when she leaves
You begin to retrieve
The truth that was there
That before you couldn't bear.
You didn't want to know
That it had no place to go.
Because your heart was not prepared
For the love that you both shared.

It may have had a tragic ending
But the message that I'm sending
Is, no matter what life gives you
It is only but a preview
Of the life that you will make
From the chances that you take
And despite how bad it sometimes seems
I promise the end will justify the means.
