A poem of salvation, faith and new beginnings.
He once flew high above the clouds,
Floating lightly on the wind.
But lonely now he's on the ground,
His wings broken to the end.

The happiness that once was his,
Now seems so far away.
If only he had just one wish,
He'd wish it all his way.

The forbidden to be accepted,
No's all turned to yes.
To change the life he's been elected,
His secrets to confess.

Denying the end, must be a plan,
Something’s left undone.
Despairingly he holds his hand,
To the Father & The Son.

For now he must sit idly by,
And wonder about the rest.
Holding back the tears he'll cry,
When things aren't such a mess.

He knows that day will come,
When his wings will finally heal.
Everything be said and done,
No more loneliness will he feel.

When healing starts he'll start to grow,
And look up to the sky.
And like a Phoenix from below,
He'll spread his wings and fly.
