A poem that explores the legitimacy of love at first sight.
Love at first sight,
What is it really?

Some say it’s physical,
When she catches his eye,
And he catches hers.
But is it really love?

Others say it doesn’t exist.
To them love takes time,
A gradual process,
Of getting to know each other.
Or that love itself is fake.

I agree and disagree,
It does exist but can take time.
For me “first sight” is rare and spiritual,
An instant connection between two souls.

Many who say it’s physical,
Mistake love for infatuation.
Those who say it’s not real, have never experienced it.
As for people like me,
We are the dreamers,
The hopefuls, the romantics.

Once again, I ask:
What is it really?
