Your life, what happened? Now playing!!!!!
While driving right along,
Down a long and windy road,
My mind began to drift.
I was lost in pensive mode.

Up ahead, not far off,
A grand marquee:
Your life: What happened?
NOW PLAYING!!! ADMISSION FREE!!!

The theater was empty.
Anticipation filled my soul.
Three, two, one, counted down on screen
And the lights faded low.

The story of my life, now playing
For me alone to see.
I saw birthdays, accomplishments
And every horrid tragedy.

My emerald green eyes
Filled up with tears
As all of my memories
Reunited after twenty-seven years.

The screen blackened, “Could have ended better,” I quipped
Rising up from my seat,
But my hands were bound to its arms
And shackles anchored my feet.

“A new scene has been added,” bellowed an omnipresent voice.
“One you should be eager to see.
Now open those peepers wide.
It’s time to wallow in horrid destiny!”

The lights flickered and again, the reel began to role,
This time revealing the things that were to be,
No more birthdays or accomplishments,
Just sorrow and a single calamity.

“Allow me to show you, the catastrophic end,
To the putrescent life you couldn’t manage.
These are the results of your greedy ways,
The finale of a life spoiled by advantage.”.

“Where are you? Quit hiding,” I demanded.
I felt my heart skip, as I listened, no reply.
I thrashed my body and cursed in anger,
Vomited until my stomach was dry.

Twisting my head, my eyes scanned the room.
An eerie fog arose from the floor, within it, a figure of monstrous size.
My pupils widened, and my blood flowed with fright
As my evil host languidly began to materialize.

Though unable to move,
My mind could contemplate.
I begged for God’s mercy.
“I’m your god now. I don’t negotiate.”

“Awe, poor pathetic little girl.
Did you think you wouldn’t pay?
I gave you tonic for the pain.
Your debt must be settled, I collect today.”

I began to wheeze, then to gasp for air.
I felt my lungs deflate.
A fiery gate appeared on screen,
And I began to suffocate.

The gate opened,
Its force pulled me in.
My eyes rolled back, darkness fell.
"These are the fates of sin."

I awoke balancing at the edge of a cliff,
A river with no boundaries ran below.
A bottomless, molten pit of lamentation.
It required pain and agony to flow.

I steadied my self, and looked around.
Suddenly frozen in fear. A burning heat.
My eyes drifted downward.
No ground below my feet.

Faster, deeper, I careened into the pit.
My eyes began to sizzle, my flesh to melt away.
My hair engulfed in flame,
I shrieked in dismay.

Darkness fell upon me once again.
I was standing at a tattered door.
I knocked, waited, no reply.
Glanced around, rapped once more.

I turned the knob, pushed the door open
Stepped through the entrance.
