Terror from the point of view of a crayon
Crayon

With jagged lines she draws with me
The paper filled with disharmony
No one knows just what but she
The terror dwells inside

Bolts of red, like dripping blood
On every part of paper flood
Her mind a twisted mire of mud
The child colors with me

She grasps me tightly in her hand
In horror she can’t understand
What panic grips her like quicksand
And drags her down below

Her tears roll down her tiny face
My wax the teardrops will displace
Who will save her from this place?
Or will she dwell for life?
