My protection keeps me hidden.
Unmasked

My protection
hangs on one finger
revealing my trueself.
Do you like what you see?
Understand why
I could never show
this side of me.
Look how you reacted.
Is it really that bad?
All the times we shared
you loved me then
and now you see
why I always hid
when the truth was so close.
Do you want to put the mask back on
or shall I?
