I had to write this sonnet for school. I didn't stick to the 10 syllable rule!
Eyes sparkle like the stars in the night sky
Her lips like roses, delicate and red
Hands are like soft doves when she says goodbye
Velvet it must be that grows on her head

Skin as smooth as silk, must be soft to touch
And what a face! Which brightens up my day
Breath beautiful like perfume, it is such
Her voice such a pleasing sound, I must say

She floats like an angel when she walks
A smile so sweet what takes my breath to flight
And O! so sweet when she starts to talk
And eyes so deep it takes me to night

But through her sweet eyes, I see her deep soul
Which grows darker and deeper as she grows old.
