Where Are You God?

Where are you God
He asked feeling alone,
Why did you allow this to happen
He wailed in tragedies phone.

I am here, God replies
I am right here with you,
As far as you can see
A magical sky of blue.

Where are you God
He asked in agony,
Why do you allow suffering
In the name of making money?

I am only allowing
God says from above,
For my children to decide
The priority of their love.

Where are you God
I can't see you,
I am filled with such rage
You can not possibly be true.

God looks down patiently
Showing the afflicted, armed with a smile,
See how it would feel
To walk in THEIR shoes for a mile.

God continued with understanding
In explaining the feeling of sad,
You are enveloped in my love
It's your decision to feel good or bad.

But God, he argued his point
There is so much evil around,
How can you love us
If you don't stomp it in the ground?

My child, God responds
Evil is conquered with love,
It's your decision whether or not you follow
The devil below or the angels above.

My love is no mystery
To accept it or not is your choice,
Your have to proclaim my love
With your actions and with your voice.

But God, he pointed out
Love is out numbered here,
Evil has overtaken this world
Nothing is pretty or clear.

It is in the form, he continued
Of sex, money and drugs,
Violence fills our streets
Like a paper smashing bugs.

Where are you God
We need you now more than ever,
Push out all of this ugliness
Like a front of stormy weather.

God smiled again, undaunted
You will strike out his evil,
Your love will stomp out
This horrendous upheaval.

Me? God, I alone can not do it
I am only one,
How can I singly fight the battle
And expect it will be won?

You can do it, God assured
Your example of love will grow,
And spread through the world like fire
So, love is all we know.

I am with you
Every step of the way,
God, placed his hands on his shoulders
Listening to the words I say.

I am in every smile
And a part of each deed that's good,
I am right here with you
Open your eyes and see me if you would.

Be brave, God continued
And love your fellow man,
This love is stronger than evil
This will be our plan.

Just as the sun continues to rise
You have to believe in me,
Once you do that
You won't ask, but you will see.

Do not doubt or waver, God said
But choose to believe,
My love is stronger than you know
And will cause the evil and suffering to flee.

Armed with God's love
Courage filled within the man,
I am sorry to have doubted
Let's put into action your plan.

I will spread your word
And the love you have for me,
With my voice and my actions
I will let the world see!

Love will conquer all
And snuff this evil out,
I see God by my side
And no longer do I doubt.
