Keep an eye on even those that you call your friends
I see through the smile on your face,
I know better than most the games you play,
And though you are one that i call my friend,
I know you will probably turn on me one day,

Although there are some secrets we share,
There are some things I will never tell,
I have seen what you have done to others,
I will not let you put me through that hell,

You think I don't know your true intentions,
But I closely observe everything that I see,
I know that if you thought that you could,
You would come try to take the place of me,

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer,
Sometimes I am not sure which you are,
But something is giving me a feeling,
That the turning point isn't too far,

So even though I keep you close to me,
You are always in front of me when we stand,
Because I know better than to turn my back,
I can already see the knife in your hand.
