Waiting on Love

Thump, thump, thump.....
Can you hear that? It's my heart, beating.....
But wait, it just stopped.....
I saw the man of my dreams.....
In my dreams last night.....
And I just remembered how handsome he was.....
And how we were so in love.....
Do dreams really come true? Or is that only an old wives' tale?
Will I ever become an old wife myself? Or just an old maid?
Time herself can only tell.....
But by the Time she gets here, it may be a little too late.....
