A poem that springs from a traumatic ordeal in my life... as much of my other poetry does.
There are reasons to smile...
He's my reason to cry.
There are reasons to live...
He's my reason to die.

There are reasons I loved him...
He took those away.
There a reasons I hate him...
But I really can't say.

There are reasons he's beautiful...
She doesn't deserve him.
There a reasons he's lovely...
But she doesn't love him.

There are reasons I despise her...
But he could care less.
There are reasons I could hit her...
It's true... I confess.

There are reasons he's destroyed me...
But he doesn't care.
There are reasons he's crushed me...
Because he wasn't there.

There are reasons why he's one in a million...
I'll never find anyone better.
There are reasons she doesn't deserve him...
I wish he would forget her.

There are reasons why I bear these scars...
They remind me of the pain.
There are reasons why I can't let go...
I'll never see him again.

There are reasons why I pushed him away...
I could never speak my mind.
There are reasons why I couldn't talk...
It was words I failed to find.

There are reasons I can't bear his name...
It hurts my heart to hear it.
There are reasons why it's scarred my heart...
I wish I could forget it.

There are reasons why I write about him...
I write this to survive.
There are reasons he can never save me...
This is all that keeps me alive.
