Amo la playa...
sandy legs and salty lips
cotton flowing 'round my hips
one caress of ocean breeze
makes a light heart smile with ease

dancing with my ankles now
are sparkling waters with a vow
promising a sandy token
keeping words yet to be spoken

admiring seashells 'neath the sun
when it's down, i won't be done
some with sand stuck on them still
wash it off? i never will

something 'bout the setting sun
makes me wish i had someone
to love, to hold, and to miss
to hope, embrace, and share a kiss

but now i see my heart is taken
and for this one, it won't be breakin'
'cause this love, it is forever
to keep it is my prime endeavor

at first sight, i was bespelled
by the grace and beauty held
by the water, pure and clear
my first love was always near

close it was and still will be
i took the beach home with me
cherishing each souvenir
thinking of each wave and pier

if i were to choose my heaven
it would be that pier eleven
running down the ramp to meet
dry sand, smooth beneath my feet
