This is a poem I wrote about my boyfriend.
I wish you were here
Right beside me as I sleep
Just like we used to
Before this last fight.

I wish you were here
With your sweet smile.
You always made the rain stop
When it flooded the world around me.

I wish you were here.
I can still smell your cologne.
Your scent lingers
Though we are worlds apart.

I wish you were here
Every time I see your shirt
Laying on my bed
It never seemed so cold.

I wish you were here.
Night after night I lay awake
Unable to sleep
As memories of you dance in my head.

I wish you were here.
I can't stand it anymore.
I want to scream inside
When people ask about you.

I wish you were here
Because I don't know
What I am supposed to do anymore,
Where am I supposed to go?

I wish you were here
To tell me how much longer
You will be away
So I can stop wishing you were here.
