This is a little poem I wrote at work about an orphan.
BE NOT AFRAID YOUNG JULIA YOUR TIME WILL COME

By: Joe Kane

Sleepy eyes and
Soft tussled hair

In to bed angel
We know it's not fair

Don't feel sad sweet
No be not afraid

We'll tuck you in
And kiss your head

Just drink it deep
This cup of troubled sleep

And drift away
Young broken heart

To dream again
Your brand new start

We'll do our jobs
You do your part

Just be a lady
And smile hard

We all drink it deep
This cup of troubled sleep

It's your turn soon
Is what we say

Give it time
Don't forget to pray

Cuz we love you and
Our love won't stray

And tommorow is always
A brand new day

So tonight just drink it deep
This cup of troubled sleep.
