This was written as a song and changed a little to become a poem.
You say you're leaving me tomorrow.
Well, I left you yesterday!
I left a letter on your pillow,
Before you called me on the phone.
But then, I guess you're with her now,
And haven't yet been home.

You held the key to always,
But you threw the key away.
You're leaving me for another,
Here's what I have to say;
I knew what you were up to,
So I left you yesterday!
