My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer on Dec. 24, 2007, and was given 2 years to live.
All We Have

The words of those who are wise,
Are ones I've grown to despise;
For years now you've been weak,
But never has the future been so bleak.
The day before the birth of Christ,
Will linger for me as one of fright.
These months have slowly passed us by,
Our tears have shed, but still we cry.
Each moment brings us something new,
Cancer found its target, claiming you.
There is so much left for us to say—
Because all we have now is every day.
