A photographer shoots a horrific encounter at a local school.
What exactly is a photo? Is it merely an impression of light on a surface or a pause in time? A still fragment of a life or a chemical reaction on film?

Jan 6, 2007. It’s one of my favorite photos that I have ever taken. It’s just a quick Polaroid at a random moment. A colorful Ferris wheel highlights a yellow balloon floating away from the small child. His face is scared and sad. The joy at that moment is gone with just a slip of his fingers. The photo makes one wonder, “What was he feeling at that moment?”
