This a poem about a lost little girl who is brought home
It’s got to be so dark and lonely
She’s been buried for such a long time
Finally the light is coming through
The lost little girl I’m starting to find
She’s survived on faith alone
Faith in me to bring her home
She wants to come out and play
She wants to go home to stay
She’s cried out all here tears
She’s lived through all her fears
She’s ready to face reality
She has so much to learn to fit in with society

I pull her out of the darkness that has been her world
I look at how fragile she is, just a little girl
She clings to me to keep her safe
In my neck she buries her face
She can’t seem to face the light
Its not what she’s known, she doesn’t think its right
I realize I must teach her the Way
To open her eyes and face the day
I whisper in her ear that it’s all right
That together we are going to fight
I catch her taking a peek at this new place
Then she quickly buries her face

I cringe at the fear I catch in her eye
And remind myself not to cry
I am the grown up that must be brave
I am the one who rescued her from her cave
I will give her the strength she needs
I will mend her when her heart bleeds
I am strong I will take care of her
I am smart I will find the cure
I am brave I will fight the demon
I am alive I will find a reason
I am caring I am pure
I am not just me I am her
