Love, Joan of Arc style
Perpetual Love

The sweetest gods have kissed my soul
I have dipped in way too deep to be saved now
But it’s okay
My Guardian Angels have gently opened their velvet wings to unveil my fragile heart
Jaded memories encircle me like a burning wreath
And I watch myself from the inside out
Careful not to get too close too soon
You stand there in your tower ... looking out at me ... puzzled by what you see
Your strength and warmth draws me in like nothing has before
I forgive myself for all the pain that I have lead myself through but only because it has brought me to you
I thank God for letting my soul live to see your beauty for I believe it had never lived before today
Perpetual love will take me now and I will trust her for the first time in my life
I pray that she is gentle
But know this …
I have the suit of armor to see me through; into the fires of hell and out to the other side
We are gifts to this earth from God
I will kiss away your tears
I will fight along side you and back to back
I will follow you to the ends of the earth and walk by your side until our path divides
And…
I will love you ever after…
