A chilling poem about greed and murder.
Bloodied black and brandished; the daggers, they cut
Anger once strong, now vanished, inside of my gut
Driven by greed, power, and pomposity
I there found the need to commit this atrocity.

My once friendly fellow, now not quite a friend
The sun shines, bright yellow, upon his gruesome end
Flagrantly flowing from the wounds in his chest
Fragrant and growing, blood seeped through his vest.

Oh foul desire! Why murder so cold?!
I wanted his fire! His silver! His gold!
He made out the will, and penned there my name
Why then did I kill?! Oh! What satanic shame!

I still see his smile, ghost-like on his lips
I still taste the bile, bitter gall, it still drips
Eyes white hot with tears, my head feels ripe for the rending!
I cover my ears, I beg god for an ending.
