Triumph over tragedy, mistakes and heartache.
Then There’s Hope

A child is born, a family torn
Lives are lost, there seems no cost
This tragedy, your majesty
I can’t believe, I’m left to grieve

This child is grown, off to roam
My life to live, no regrets to give
Hearts are broken, dreams are stolen
Reward unpaid, to a loyal nursemaid

Destructive force, nature’s course
through this path, Katrina’s wrath
lives washed out, futures tossed about
the sun still rises, revealing surprises

Healthy today, tomorrow’s decay
it might be gone, don’t celebrate long
A lesson learned?  Time must be earned.
A second chance?  Future at a glance.

Sometimes life is under a microscope.
My child, with life, you must learn to cope.
No need for you in darkness to grope.
If there is life, then there is hope.
