When we make mistakes that you can't changed, how will your angel feel?
Did you have to clip
Your angel’s wings,
Just to see him fall?
Did you need to see
Your angel’s pain,
Just to know your own?

The cry went out and startled heavens
Tears pooled like drowned plains
The angel’s strength seemed faded
Your resolve shuttered and fell
In troubled times your blade lead
Careless to the wounds received

Did you have to bleed
Your angel out,
Just to know his blood?
Did you need to break
Your angel’s heart,
Just to mend your own?

Now the tides has shifted
Is everything according to plan?
Fear that lead, took all away
Yet angels cannot die
Nor will this one want to rise
Over a wall concealed in glory

Did you have to drown
Your angel’s voice,
Just to hear your own?
Did you need test
Your angel’s strength,
Just to watch him cave?

Your angel has always been human
Even when he seemed to soar
Though through every epiphany's exclamation
Knowledge has always been your own
His voice was that of an inner struggle
To best the demons seeking claim

Did you want to see
Your own angelic wings,
In contempt of his?
Did you crave flight
Wherein angels stand,
Just to prove him wrong?

Did you have to make
Your angel hurt,
Just to be alone?
Did you need words
Your angel sang,
Just to carry on?
