Poetry - The Pigeon
As I sit and listen to the sounds of nature and see the purple and green plume on the pigeons I think of how peaceful my world is at the moment

Why is it I wonder that others can not find peace in life's simple pleasures

A baby's laugh

A duck in the pond

A touch of a lover's hand

Why must there be strife and war

Hate and poverty

Why does mankind think that they are more important than the beauty that surrounds them

Why do we strive to make the world ugly with our hate and prejudice

Why do we plant gardens only to trample them

Why do we kill innocents in the name of our convoluted ideals

I wish I had the answer

I wish all the world's days could be as peaceful as this as I sit and watch the purple and green plumed pigeon
