This needs major revision, I think.
I am free as a bird, soaring in the beautiful blue sky, landing in a lush green tree
I am as caged as a trapped lion, with an escape from abuse and captivity being just a mirage
I am as fearful as a neglected teen, her life filled with hope, stereotypes and the unknown-fearful, but just trying to let things be… 3
I am as courageous as a soldier who fights a war and risks their life for their country, forming positivity and bravery from the horrific sightings, a collage
I am as broken as a shattered piece of glass, in which each piece beholds a fragment, a story in which it describes the brokenness
I am as whole as a delicate glass blown spider, with each weave of the web, the story more deeply and positively unfolds
I am as helpless as a lost kitten, trying to find its way back home, yearning for the belonging it craves
I am as independent as I let myself be, with relying on others for stability, to raise me up from this sometimes evident negative cave
I can be at times, unknowingly and unintentionally, as superficial as a plastic Barbie doll, bleach blonde hair and all
But most of the time, I am as genuine as I can allow myself to be
I am intelligent enough as a person and human being to not always rely on others when I fall
I am wise beyond my years, I’m not arrogant but I’m worth your time; open up your arms to me.
