Pixie wonderful are little girls, buttercups in hair.
Flower Petal Pixie Child

Flower petal pixie child
How sweet to have you near
To pick or pardon in my garden
The posies you hold so dear

Flower petal pixie child
Thine eyes of violets hue
To stay awhile, to laugh, to smile
And revel in all that is you

Flower petal pixie child
Thy hands in fragrant earth
To sow,to grow,to learn,to know
From whence you were birthed

Flower petal pixie child
Arrayed thine gentle brow
In buttercup thee hast picked up
And wear most gaily now

Flower petal pixie child
The day has gone too soon
The light that shines thy face divine
Now from the silvered moon

Flower petal pixie child
Sun has gone a bed
Thy fervor spent with wings a bent
In sweet sleep now nod thy head

Flower petal pixie child
In gentle grace thou doth repose
Thy milken skin gently lit from within
Rivaling petals of beauteous rose

Flower petal pixie child
Await the flora and fawn
To greet, to share, the wonder there
Gladdening all nature this dawn

Author's notes:
Young girls grow almost as quickly as the
flowers they love to pick. The majesty and
beauty of God is seen in every stage of their
growth. Just as we say,"Stop and smell the
roses", We should also stop and cherish the
young roses before they are grown.

Song of Solomon 2:2-
Like a lily among thistles is my darling among young women.
