A poem about boredom.
Doldrums seem to cover the sea
The winds are dead, the waves are wounded
Land or vessel I never see

I am left alone with only my mind
Unheard goes my plea
As I think of action I can not find

All there is is water and sky
No smart conversation of any kind
Only my thoughts to occupy

And still my voyage goes on
Though I often wonder why
Of this boredom I am not fond

A ripple does not cause a wave out here
Dead are the waters of this massive pond
And continued stillness is my only fear

Without the currents I can not move
The wheel is broken I can not steer
What on earth do I have to prove

Forever I drift through this sea
Land or vessel I never see
