The tragedy of caring for a close friend or family member with Alzheimer's Disease.
        Relentless.......

Ruthlessly padding, stalking the brain,
The panther will win in the end.
Unbearable anguish for those who remain
Nearby, family, lover or friend.

The prey, unaware of the sinister cat,
Is sublime in its innocent world.
Tries coping with changes and images that
Resemble a storybook hurled.

It's the Law of the Jungle; the fit will survive
With their senses and memory intact.
But condemned to a sentence of vivid recall
Of the Play, and their loved one's Last Act.
